You want a website and you have a vision of what you want it to look like.
Simple, right?
Yet the first question I get asked is how much will it cost?
I myself want the most I can get for the least amount of money, so I get it.
And since a picture is worth 1,000 words, I loved it when I came across the image above.
It says it all.
Sometimes You Get What You Pay For
Do you want a Pegasus like in the picture the man is holding? Or do you want the tattoo he is getting?
The picture (the website you envision) is detailed. It has all the bells and whistles.
The tattoo he is getting is amateurish. It has no details. In fact, it doesn’t resemble the picture at all. Well, maybe barely.
The point here is that you can always find someone who is willing to do it cheaper, but at what cost to you and your business?
- Will it barely get you a web presence?
- Will it meet the needs of your clients?
- Will viewers even stay long enough to find what they are ultimately looking for?
And what does it say about your business?
Price vs Quality
Don’t let price be the only deciding factor when you choose a web designer. You could end up with something that doesn’t at all represent what you were envisioning. You will be disappointed will the results.
On the other hand, keep in mind that your website can start out very basic but grow with your business. That is what I love about the platform I use. You can add things as you go, which is easier on your budget.
