We Are All Afraid of Something

afraidWe all have fears … anywhere from spiders and snakes to public speaking.

Some of us are afraid of failure and some of us are afraid of success. I was shocked the first time I heard that one.

How can you be afraid to succeed? But we sabotage ourselves all the time.

How about fear of rejection? That’s a biggie.

I decided I was tired of holding myself back. Tired of telling myself I wasn’t good enough, didn’t know enough.

We all know more than someone at some level. We’re experts in some things and novices at other things.

I started my journey in 2014 with Kelly McCausey’s Stretch Yourself Challenge. We had several options to choose from and if we completed one in the time frame allotted we could do a second or even third one.

Committing to the Stretch Yourself Challenge caused me to push myself. I was connected with a group who were all going through some sort of fear, anxious to succeed. Plus we got one-on-time with an expert.

While the challenge in long over, I continue to network with several wonderful people. I am working on a variety of things that I was once fearful of, still am in many cases, but I am pushing through the fear and doing it anyway. I realize that there will always be something in our lives that can be improved, some things in our businesses that we may not want to do, but needs to be done if we wish to succeed.

Make a decision today to do one thing that will move your forward. Feel the fear and do it anyway.
